The man who threatened to blow himself up in Paris!!
A man was arrested in Paris on April 19 for pretending to have explosives at the Iranian consulate.
He had fake grenades in his vest, said the officials.
The suspect who was born in Iran, had caused trouble at the consulate before.
He had already been convicted for setting fire to tyres in front of the entrance of the Iranian embassy in Paris, last year.
The police didn’t find any real explosives on him, in his car or in the building.
The incident caused a big police presence in the area and nearby metro lines were temporarily disrupted, said the officials.
However, there is no connection to recent tensions in the Middle East.
The man is set to appear in court on April 22 for his previous crime.
He had protested against Iran’s government before.
France has increased security alert levels after recent attacks.
The U.S. embassy in Paris warned Americans to avoid the area and follow instructions from local authorities.
