The biggest drug bust in the country was busted!!
The Philippines officials has confiscated 1.8 tonnes of illegal drugs on April 15.
The seized drugs are estimated to be worth more than US$230 million, said the officials.
The drugs were discovered in a van in Batangas province and the driver was arrested.
This is the biggest ever drug bust in the country, said the officials.
Unlike past operations, there were no casualties or injuries, said President Marcos.
He emphasized the importance of a non-violent approach to the drug war.
While the source of the drugs is being investigated, Marcos mentioned they weren’t made locally.
This comes amidst ongoing concerns about human rights abuses in the country’s fight against drugs.
