SMRT bus crashed into a tree in Woodlands!! one person died!!
A bus driver, aged 58, tragically died after his SMRT bus crashed into a tree in Woodlands.
The accident occurred on April 16 along Woodlands Avenue 2.
The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force said that they were alerted to the accident at about 9.25am.
The bus was heading towards Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub, said the officials.
Thankfully no passengers were on board, they added.
SMRT expressed sadness over the loss and is offering support to the driver’s family.
The driver was taken to the hospital unconscious, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
