Indonesia floods!! Rising death toll!!
Flash floods and volcanic activity in western Indonesia have caused a lot of damage and casualties.
In Sumatra island, heavy rain made big rocks from a volcano roll down into two areas on May 11.
This led to floods that affected roads, homes, and mosques.
Sadly, 50 people have died, 27 people are still missing.
Rescue teams are working hard to locate the missing individuals.
Many people have been evacuated to safer places like schools, said the officials.
The floods caused extensive damage including 84 houses, 16 bridges, 2 mosques and 20ha of rice fields, said the national disaster mitigation agency.
Officials emphasize that Indonesia frequently experiences such calamities during the rainy season.
