Earthquake hits sea off Indonesia’s java island!!

Strong earthquake shakes Indonesia’s Java island on April 27, the country’s Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysical Agency reported.

The quake recorded at a magnitude of 6.5 caused residents in Jakarta and Bandung to leave their buildings.

The tremor lasted longer than usual, about 10 to 15 seconds.

Fortunately, it didn’t trigger a tsunami alert.

The earthquake’s depth was recorded at 68.3km below the ground, the United States Geological Survey reported.

Indonesia, prone to quakes due to its location on the “Ring of Fire,” experiences frequent seismic activity.
