A volcano spewing flames!!
Indonesia’s Ruang volcano, located on a remote island in North Sulawesi province, erupted dramatically on April 17.
The eruption sent lava, rocks, and ash shooting up to three kilometers into the sky.
Purple lightning flashed in the sky above the volcano during the eruption.
Over 800 people were evacuated and the evacuation zone was expanded as the alert status was raised.
The airport in the provincial capital, Manado, was closed due to the ash.
Air Asia cancelled flights to several airports in East Malaysia and Brunei for safety reasons.
Authorities have evacuated more residents and warned of the risk of a tsunami.
