A man with a knife attacked and injured two passengers on a train in Taichung, a city in central Taiwan, on May 21.
This incident happened on the 10th anniversary of a deadly stabbing on a Taipei train, which occurred on May 21,2014.
The attacker is a nursing student from Kaohsiung with a history of mental illness.
He was arrested and police are investigating his motives.
Witnesses said the attacker suddenly pulled out a knife and stabbed a man.
Some passengers managed to take the knife away, but the attacker pulled out another knife.
Passengers then hit him on the head and pried the knife from his hand.
He was eventually overpowered and handed over to the station staff.
A 17-year-old boy and a 27-year-old man were injured in the attack, said the officials.
The boy had cuts on his chest, shoulder and arm and the man had a deep slash on his face.
Both were taken to the hospital.
The attacker, who also had injured fingers, was taken to the hospital as well.
Three knives were siezed at the scene, said the police.
