A fire broke out in Chinatown!! 68 year old man was admitted at hospital!!
A fire broke out in Chinatown, Singapore on May 11.
It happened at Block 5 Banda Street in an apartment on the 11th floor.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force was alerted to the incident at around 2:20 pm.
Firefighters put out the fire, which started in the bedroom with a mattress, using water jet.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force rescued a 68-year-old man from the flat.
However, he was unconscious and needed CPR before being rushed to Singapore General Hospital.
As a safety measure, about 15 people from the building were evacuated.
The police and the SCDF are still investigating the cause of the fire.
