A 37-year-old woman faced charges on May 9 for allegedly killing a 56-year-old man at a residence on Beach Road.
The police received a call for help early on May 8, finding the man unconscious. He later died in the hospital.
The woman, who is believed to be the man’s girlfriend, was arrested at the scene.
The police seized a knife believed to be the weapon used in the incident.Both the victim and the suspect knew each other, said the officials.
The police are still investigating the incident thoroughly. Murder is a serious crime and if convicted, the woman could face the death penalty.
